This course aims to provide updated information about basic mechanisms of oxidative stress, with emphasis on nitro-oxidative stress, and its relationship to plant biology. It will introduce students to the use of methods for detection and quantification of oxidant agents and antioxidant factors.

Criteria for selection of candidates:

Researchers working or planning to work in near future in plant oxidative stress.
Posgraduate students form biology, chemistry, and biotechnology areas.
Local postgraduate students.
 

Students from all Latin America are encouraged to apply, financial support is available to pay transportation and stipend. The deadline to apply is July 31st, 2011.
