International symposium "Mitochondria and cell metabolism"
June 11th to 12th
Symposium: Mitochondria and cell biology

Summary

The field of mitochondrial biology has experienced rapid advnacements in recent years, both conceptually and methodologically, requiring ongoing updates. The intricate processes of mitochondrial dynamics, biogenesis and autophagy play critical roles in mitochondrial quality control and function, while their interactions with other organelles pose new challenges to researchers in this area. Additionally, the significant impact of mitochondrial metabolism and redox status on cell signaling in both physiological and pathological contexts underscore the organelle's importance as a key determinant of health and a promising target for therapeutic intervention.  This symposium seeks to address the growing demand from researchers and graduate students in the biomedical field, providing essential insights and knowledge in this area of study.
